New Car, New Bumper Sticker!

Having been gifted (Thanks, friends!) with a new-to-us car last month, I stopped driving the rapidly deteriorating Mercedes with my Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker. I have been waiting to get something new for the new car, but this week I just had to go for it (thanks, Cafepress). So here goes:

I feel much better now!

Have a great day!

Congratulations on the new car, what a great friend! Can we just find somebody who's never been in politics before and make them president? Most of the political veterans have too much baggage. Are you up for it? Maybe we could start a grass roots knit blog campaign to elect Soprano Spinner. Are you over 35 and were you born here? Your campaign slogan could be something clever like "Let's knit this nation back together." And you could always threaten to point them with your pointy sticks if they choose someone else. Thank about it.

That should be "think" about it. I can't type.

I feel pretty strongly about Gore. He seems to have gotten over his stolen election. He's also gotten to the point in his life where he can just stand up and say, "This I believe." That is what I feel we need as a nation and especially as a party.

And there are plenty of examples of people who lost a Presidential election who went on later to win, so it's not unheard of.

I really think we need someone who doesn't care what their baggage is, who can represent our commitment to the common good. So far, Al wins with me!

As for my own prospects, yes, I am old enough and yes, I was born in the U.S. However, I have not comported myself with the presidency in mind. Plus my kids would resent me not being able to do...everything with them! It's a shame, really, that regular people cannot really run, too expensive, too unpleasant, too much swiftboating, etc.

But it is a great honor to be suggested!

I like it Heide! President Wendy! "Let's knit this nation back together!" Handknit socks on every foot and bluefaced leister in every (dye) pot!

I would vote for you Wendy. It could be big! Imagine... A new and more intelligent America; Freedom of CHOICE, Education and knitting lessons free with every insured person (which would be everyone, of course!)

President Wendy.

You could get Jill to be Secretary of State - she is good at that sort of thing!
xo,
J.

Maybe we can form some sort of shadow government...or fantasy government like "fantasy football." We could pick our team (including ourselves?) and award points and demerits based on how well they perform.

For example, Pelosi gets 1 demerit for Murtha losing the majority leader election, but gets 3 points for NOT appointing Jane Harman to the chair of the Intelligence Committee. If you have Pelosi, you're ahead!

Jill would make a GREAT SoS!

Cute! Coincidentally, Gore is going to our daughter's college to speak next spring. We're going! She was pretty excited when the announcement was made.

That's great! I'm still holding on to a Gore/Lieberman campaign t-shirt that I purchased while on my honeymoon in DC in 2000. ;)
