Daily Show was Fabulous!

We had a great time! But I want to fully post about it when I can upload pictures. Although, since they wouldn't let us take pictures once we were inside, it won't make that much difference. Still...

Thanks, Sue, for getting us in, it was a blast! And my mom and I got to spend some time together sans kids.

DGrandpa had them for the entire DAY!! He was great! He took them to the boardwalk, got them ride wristbands, bought them kitsch, ice cream, the whole works. Did better than I would have done, sounds like. Yay, Grandpa!!

Back to the spray park today, I think. We won't get another chance. And the cleaning lady comes today, better to be out.

I'll start packing up today. We make a huge mess when we stay here, but I just can't get motivated to be organized. And how can six days worth of clothes for three people turn into so much laundry!?!?!

Hope you're having a lovely day!

I tried to comment earier but it never showed up...w e i r d!

I am a lily. "Your artistic expression tends to show up in flamboyant bursts. When you are feeling creative, it consumes your every thought and action. But just as quickly as the muse shows up, it leaves you and you are back to your relatively normal self." Sounds fairly correct to me!

Your Daily Show sojourn sounds fun! Who were the guests? I haven't ever seen the show.

It's amazing the mess that seems to occur when you are away - When we are at my parents' I have to check every room for stuff and we always leave bits behind! I think kids secretly manufacture laundry - maybe they sneak out and wear extra underpants or something!

When do you come home? Jilly will be home sometime Friday. Will you be home soon enough to join us at the pool on Sunday?

I am feeling mostly better - I have rested and rested. My girl is a very good nurse!

I finished my yoga sox. They are kindof cute. I made them out of the pink/pink/purple/orange wool that you gave me from your stash. Quite soft! I think my friend will like them. They were easy! I missed the heel turn - that's my favorite part! It makes me feel so talented!

I am still working on the lacy sox. They are coming out pretty well. They are made from the tan wool you gave me. Sarah loves them!

As for your problem with VK sox only coming in one size. My new 'theory' is that I find a stitch pattern that I like and use it on the sox that I know how to make - I have a pair in mind with a bell lace pattern. I'll use the stitch count I need with the number of stitches in the pattern and hopefully they will mesh. That way I don't care, right? That's the theory anyhow.

How is Miss M's poncho coming?

come home soon - I miss you!

love,
Your knitting protege' and spinning student,
Joy

Blogger is very temperamental sometimes!

Glad you did the quiz. Sometimes they are very silly. This morning I discovered that I am not a nerd. Who knew?

Daily Show guest was William Cohen, former Secretary of Defense under Clinton, but he was pretty stiff. I've seen him do better interviews when he wasn't plugging a book. But the experience was great. More about this later!

We are packing up our mountains of stuff (?) for coming home on Saturday. We should be at the pool Sunday afternoon. Glad you're feeling better.

Your theory on one size sock patterns is absolutely right. My gripe is that most VK readers don't usually knit socks so they wouldn't know how to resize. VK has never had a sock pattern in my memory (10 years or so), I don't think. Not their normal kind of project.

Poncho hasn't seen much action, I'm afraid, but Fibonacci socks will be finished tonight (except for the countless ends to be woven in). I will make sure the poncho gets done before it gets cool, though.

See you soon!
