The Fair Opens Today!!!! UPDATED

But first, Scholastic Press has pulled their original study materials, yay! And ABC is purportedly thinking of pulling the movie, double yay!!!

However, clearly the most important thing today, September 8, 2006 is that the Los Angeles County Fair opens this morning. Will they post the ribbons in the Tapestry of Tradition competitions? Or will they, like last year, torment me by waiting two weeks!??!? The judging was on August 1. You'd think they've had enough time to type up the chart, yes?

Stay tuned!!

UPDATE: Okay, I called them to see when the results will be posted and their answer (brilliant, don't you agree) was: "Sometime after the Fair opens." The Fair opened this morning!!! I know I'm crazy, but you love me anyway, right?

You will win. I know it. Those sox were a thing of beauty and a joy forever!

You will call me as soon as you know, right? We can celebrate.

It's definately good that they pulled the 'teaching materials' (teaching lie materials). I will be amazed if they pull the show... amazed and happy. I am still betting on the almighty dollar winning out though - The fact that pulling it is the right thing to do notwithstanding!

Home today - it seems the district lost my credential so I am off the system right now... idiots! I gave them the credential over 3 weeks ago! Anyhow, I'm home if the posting of winners goes up, call!

Joy

It's almost like they are TRYING to torment the good knitters of the greater Los Angeles area!

You want me to call them for you again? Like we could take turns every day till they give up the goods???

You are going to win... I know it!
xo,
Joy

PS. Do you think it is possible that someone is unravelling what I knit while I am not looking? These sox are taking FOREVER. I think the Knot Fairy is probably doing it. (The Knot Fairy ties knots in my girl's hair while she sleeps... she is kindof mean!)
xo.

PPS... district fixed. They are not the brightest bulbs in the marquee...

You are in what is technically known as the "knitting black hole." You measure and knit and measure and knit and measure and knit and it never changes. Then you knit forever, measure and you've gone too far. Imagine how it feels when you're doing a sweater!!

No, no harassment calls, thanks. If they take till the end of next week I will call again. It did take two weeks last year, blech! That knot fairy is evil, too!

District has a lot going on, with the torment of the dropping off and picking up and all...oh, no, that was ME with the TORMENT!!!

It took 25 MINUTES to get Liam into the car yesterday. Nowhere to park, cops everywhere and I was supposed to be picking up Zoe after (thank goodness Paul got back before I was done). I had to go to school five times yesterday.

Anyway, glass is half full, right? Split dismissal is only one more week away............
